How to Set Up a Mobile and Virtual Office
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/entrepreneurs/how-to-set-up-a-mobile-and-virtual-office/ Imagine the day when printers, desks, staplers, whiteboards, and even office walls don't exist. Wouldn't that be great? Well we're almost there thankfully. Today, a laptop, or smartphone and an Internet connection are all we need. Everything else can be done online. That's what I'm working on with my quest for virtual freedom. I write extensively about this in The Suitcase Entrepreneur book, especially in Chapter 7 where I did my research to bring you the most valuable resources and online tools to run your business from anywhere. When you set up a physical office, you probably ask yourself questions likes: Do we need to get a landline? How many phones should we install? How much does new office furniture cost? Do we need filing cabinets? You can see your costs adding up before your eyes and it's scary, especially if you're not turning a profit yet. As a virtual business owner with no office though, you save big time on your set up costs, especially when you use online tools that act as faxes and your local post office. All your activities, meetings and projects can be virtual and you can set up systems to manage your business and team that can be accessed anywhere and anytime, transcending time zones and international borders. So what tools do you really need? Well, you can look at a physical office and translate it into a virtual office pretty easily. Keep in mind too that with tools and a mobile office, less is always more. In this video, you'll learn: Which two services to use to make your business appear to have a landline phone connection How to combat the issue of needing a mailing address and receiving/sending out physical mail Which suite of tools to always use for ease and optimal integration with other tools How to keep your receipts, documents, and business cards organized online What tool is best to manage your entire accounting system The easiest and fastest way to manage contracts with clients and partners Tools mentioned: Skype Personal Number Google Voice Google Everything — Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Apps -- emails, online shared documents, drafts, forms, and scheduling Shoeboxed Freshbooks Hello Fax OurDeal PC2Paper Earth Class Mail Also, check out this article for more tips: Tips, Tools, and Resources: All You Will Need to Build Your Online Business Make sure you SUBSCRIBE to my Youtube channel for all of latest videos with travel and business tips! How to Stop the Comparison Game and Choose Yourself
Have you ever scrolled through, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram only to see a friend or peer doing awesome things, and then you feel depressed and even? Scrolling the Instagram feed has the ability to make me feel like I'm not enough, in an instant. So much so that I've stopped enjoying this app like I used to. I value it as a connection and business tool, but I'm tired of seeing the perfectly curated photos that only show one side of that person's life - the one that makes you feel like you're inadequate and your life is dull or even sucks. YOUR aim in life should be to be the very best version of yourself, by focusing on what you do best and love to do. So why do we all consistently compare ourselves against others? Why do we look at people who are 3, 5 or even 10 years ahead of us in business and in life and get completely dejected that ‘we’re not there yet’ or that we pale in comparison. This destructive habit has to stop! You can’t even begin to know what’s behind their journey, what it took for them to get to where they are now. But you can learn from them, and emulate the great things they do, so long as you don’t try to measure up against them. Remember, there is always someone doing better than us in something but instead of comparing yourself, concentrate on where you’re at and what you’ve achieved. In this video, I share: Five ways to stop comparison game for good Difference between competition and comparison How to replace negative thoughts to positive thoughts An exercise you can do to stop negative thoughts If you want to uncover more habits, routines and tips to create more freedom in your everyday life, then check out my podcast: 💻 Quest for Freedom Podcast: https://www.nataliesisson.com/ To start living more of your perfect days download my FREE guide. 💌 3 Steps to Living Your Perfect Day: https://nataliesisson.com/start I've built-in exercises to do to make sure you start living more of your perfect days within weeks. Five Steps to Run a Successful Kickstarter Campaign [Part 1]
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/lifestyle-business-videos/fund-your-kickstarter/ ‎ If you've been a freedom fighter for a while, you might remember when I ran my all or nothing Kickstarter Campaign to help me write my book. In less than 30 days and with 200 pledges, it was 121% funded and allowed me to write and publish my now No #1 Amazon bestselling book The Suitcase Entrepreneur. Running a Kickstarter campaign was quite possibly the best move I've made. Writing my book was one of my big dreams, and I was able to use Kickstarter to crowd validate that people believed in me and wanted to see this book written. It also gave me an inbuilt community of supporters to help me market and promote my book before it was even written which was priceless and still amazes me to this day. Check out supporters of my book on my Pinterest board of honor - are you there?! As a result of the Kickstarter campaign and publishing my book I've held book parties all over the world and received numerous speaking opportunities as well as a whole new global audience. Crowd Funding Kickstarter bookGet the guide: Want to know the secrets behind hitting your Kickstarter campaign? Check out this step-by-step blueprint to make sure you hit your goal! The beauty of crowd funding is that you can take basically any project that you want to do and make it a reality if you know the right steps to creating the campaign, marketing it, and following through on what you promised. So what are the basics of what it takes to run a successful crowd funding campaign? Find out in this video. What you'll learn in this episode: Three ideas for what to do during the slow periods of your crowd funding campaign Which two strategies created huge spikes in my crowd funding campaign How to ensure that your ideal clients outside of your existing audience know about your campaign

Brunei is the land of unexpected treasures and Instragram entrepreneurs
http://bit.ly/155RkaU If you were on Borneo Island, Malaysia, and had the opportunity to visit another country, just a 35 minute flight away, would you? Of course you would, and I jumped at the chance, especially when the entire 48 hour trip was set up for me to meet with the friendly locals from start to finish (thanks Dino). And I got to be there for their 29th National Day, when everyone dresses up and celebrates their independence with the Sultan. He just happens to be the 29th Sultan too. And if you think you're busy, he's busier. I found out he's not just the Sultan but also the King, Prime Minister, Supreme Commander of the armed forces, Chancellor of UBD and Minister of Finance and I think some other things. So I put together a special video to show you around. Watch it now and go on to read all about Brunei and the Instagram entrepreneurs. Why Brunei Is Worth A Visit It's is located on the island of Borneo, with a past time of eating and socializing. If you like either of those you're in luck, oh and Instagram. Almost everyone it seems is on Instagram. With a population of around 380,000 and 70% Muslim you certainly get your dose of the 3Ms here -  monkeys, mosques and museums. In my naivety I really thought it had a strong Arab influence, turns out it doesn't. They do however use Rumi -Arabic  translation of how the words are pronounced, for every single English sign. If you're not eating or socializing I highly recommend going on a river trip to see monkeys, crocodiles and people who live in water villages. It's super reasonable, and a great 2 hour trip to see Brunei from the water... and  of course eat more food. Some other unique facts (don't quote me on these) The average salary for government employee's who are degree educated is $2,600 Brunei dollars per month. That's USD $2086. Most people do seem to work for the government, or themselves. And they work Saturdays but not Friday or Sunday - which is prayer day. In fact the Sultan recently imposed a decision to have all businesses shut up shop between midday and 2pm on a Friday so people can pray. This means if you want to check into a hotel around then you may have to wait. Or if you're hungry then you're out of luck. If you're an owner of a restaurant you're now losing a ton of money on one of your most popular days. But no one argues about this as that would mean they'd have to speak up against the main guy who provides them with free education and no income tax and all those other benefits.... Did I mention they love food? My entire trip was based around pretty incredible food. I was super lucky to have, the unofficial official food ambassador for Brunei, take me on a tour of some of the best places to eat, from food markets to restaurants. Instagram Stars And Social Media Mavens So here's the lesson that I learned, 70% of people in Brunei are heavy Internet users and as a result they are ALL over social media. The holy grail seems to be Instagram. No kidding. It's amazing how many people are on it, and more importantly doing business through it. So when they're not busy eating, they're taking photos of what they're eating and sharing them on Social Media. Honestly watch my video for proof. While I was there I got to witness something of an Instragram phenomenon. A group of 5 ladies have been getting together to do monthly bake sales of their goods, entirely driven by Instagram. They post photos of what they're making and the date and time of the event and hundreds show up. On the weekend I was there I go to witness Sweet As Sara sell 600 cupcakes in 2hrs 22 mins - oh and they were delicious. This was the first time she had done the group effort with the other ladies and over 200 people were in line. I felt pretty priveleged to hang with many movers and shakers in the social media world while I was in Brunei. This included the Number One blogger Rano Adidas. He's more popular than their national newspaper, radio stations and other sources of news and information combined. In fact is THE Social Media site people go to for the latest and hottest events, trends, updates and news, with 5,000 visitors a day! After 10 years of blogging daily he now makes multiple six figures through advertising and sponsorship, and is that influential that when he posts, people listen, In fact he was kind enough to tag me in an Instagram photo after meeting me, and it had 100 likes within an hour and I'd picked up 60 new followers - unbelievable. Plus before we event got to meet, we both made the National Newspaper in an article on National Day. So now you know a little more about the unexpected treasures you'll find in Brunei, you should consider going. Otherwise I highly recommend you check out Instagram to keep up with it all. Tell me in the comments below what you liked and learned from this video (and whether you like the new intro).

How to stay motivated, uplifted and productive like Marie Forleo
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/lifestyle-show/how-to-stay-motivated-uplifted-and-productive-like-marie-forleo/ Last week, Jane asked how I produce such high quality work on the road at such a productive speed (thanks Jane!) and how I stay inspired and motivated. While I answered the first bit in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH80tFoDofY The second part to that question I answer in this video. I'm a naturally self-motivated person who gets high on life on a daily basis. But that doesn't mean I don't have days when I just can't be bothered to do anything, or I get in a slump and overwhelmed with everything. Those slumps can be hard to get yourself out of. The ones where you're tired and all you wanna do is lay in bed and avoid the laptop and even your favourite song can't get you smiling. But life goes on and you don't want to miss out on all the magical things because you're under the bed covers wallowing in some self-pity,, So how do you get yourself out of these moments so you can focus back on being happy, on purpose and loving life? In this video, I share two main ways that I'm able to get out of slumps - sometimes just in the span of twenty minutes. And I do a Marie Forleo impersonation impromptu style. In this video, you'll learn: What site I rely on for inspiration whenever I get into a slump The key type of video that will perk you back up so you can refocus on your work One strategy that allows me to "magically" maintain productivity Also, check out these articles for more tips: Make sure you SUBSCRIBE to my Youtube channel for all of latest videos with travel and business tips! 3 Tools to Help You Run Your Next Webinar
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/lifestyle-business-videos/3-tools-to-run-your-webinar-on-any-budget/ Are you interested in running a webinar, but not sure which platform is best to host it on? Find out my top 3 favourite tools and all of their key features. GoToWebinar http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/gotowebinar MeetingBurner http://nataliesisson.enterthemeeting.com/join LeadPages http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/leadp Time is valuable and travel can be costly, which is why webinars have such universal appeal. As an attendee, webinars give you the ability to take in content in real time and learn a lot for free from the comfort of your home. As an online marketer, webinars are one of the best tools to build your credibility, engage with your audience and convert more sales in the space of an hour than any other tool I know! Not to get too technical or anything, but 62% of marketers are now using webinars to deliver their content and convert their customers. Additionally, those who use them are seeing higher than ever conversion rates. Still a little skeptical? One of David Siteman Garland's pupils used a webinar to deliver her first online course and here's what she had to say about it: "By launch week my "inner circle" interest list was over 1,200 people.[...] This first launch generated $51,840. (NOTE: That's double what I used to bring home in a YEAR as a park ranger, so typing that makes my head spin.) My founding class includes 51 amazing folks from all over the world!" -- Nikki Elledge Brown via The Rise to the Top So if this marketing tool is so handy, it's no wonder more and more people are hopping on the bandwagon to use webinars to build their list and convert more sales. It's pretty safe to assume that you all know I love webinars. After all, I did post this video on 5 Steps to Running a Successful Webinar that Engages Your Audience and Converts Them Into Customers. Since you're all up to speed on how to rock the socks off your next webinar presentation, now it's time to figure out which tool is going to work best for you, your audience and your budget. There are 3 fantastic tools that I would recommend using for your next webinar, it just depends on what you are willing to spend and how many attendees you plan on having. What you will learn in this episode: My top 3 favourite webinar tools and their key features The most affordable and effective webinar tool option out there Which platform easily allows you to charge your attendees to attend

How to Outsource Tasks in Your Business With a Small Budget
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/entrepreneurs/how-to-outsource-tasks/ If you listen to the experts advice when it comes to outsourcing tasks, it's that you should start before you think you're ready. But like Kyla, a freedom fighter from this community said, it's hard to commit the funds to building a team when you don't have a big income, and I appreciate this can feel like a huge leap and a big investment. However...one thing I love about outsourcing is that it's not as expensive as you'd think and the sooner you do it, the more money you'll save! I certainly did not build my 7-person team overnight (nor could I immediately afford them when I first started hiring), so nobody expects you to either. That's why I really want you to watch this video to see how you can get started today, even if you only have a small budget. In this video, you'll learn: The two best websites for hiring team members The best way to list an open position within your budget How to decide which tasks you want to outsource

Well it's the truth! So if you're currently trying to attract new clients all the time, can I ask why are you overlooking your past or existing ones? Have you tried the simple trick of re-engaging with those lovely people you've done business with before or have brought from you? In this video I've got four ways you can get back in touch with clients and get them working with you again and bringing you more revenue. The lovely thing about doing biz online though is that we have an opportunity to create really brilliant relationships with our clients and keep in touch just by keeping on their radar and being visible and helpful. I actually wrote about making lasting friendships + meaningful relationships on the move here so if I can do it from my suitcase, so can you! Without my community (yep, you!), I wouldn't be able to have any kind of business or live this freedom lifestyle that I value so much. And I know one of the reasons the community is so strong is because I engage with all of you + my clients almost every single day. We talk over Facebook through groups like the Social Media Club, Twitter, email, and we meet at conferences, on cruise ships, and a lot of you have offered up your home for me to stay in! To help you put the spark back into your client relationships, here are four quick and easy ways to re-engage with your clients. In this video, you'll learn: Which engagement method offers value to your client + releases the feeling of being too "salesy" One client engagement tip that adds a personal touch people rarely get these days One simple tactic for finding opportunities for collaboration and expanding your network Which type of recommendation you can offer to help make their life and business easier

How to Find Wi-Fi While Traveling
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/?p=16584 Until the day you can't connect or get decent Wi-Fi, you will never realize how much you depend upon it. In fact, I'd say that losing connection is the bane of every traveling entrepreneur's life! Trying to get decent Internet connection has cost me way too much time and money over the years. It's also taught me patience and to do as much work offline as possible especially in countries where the bandwidth is next to useless. Honestly, it once took me 6 hours and 32 minutes to upload a video for my Kickstarter campaign only to have it fail at the last moment because there were too many 'gamers' using the connection! While you can access free Wi-Fi throughout most of the first world, there are lots of other options you should be aware of, all of which I'll share in this video. In this video, you'll learn: Which websites to always avoid while in Internet cafes Top 10 countries where you can find super fast Internet connection How to plan important meetings and webinars around Wi-Fi availability One tool you can use to get safe and private Wi-Fi connection Two useful resources for finding the nearest Wi-Fi hotspot no matter where you are

Is Co-Working The Cure For Entrepreneurial Loneliness?
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/freedom One of the most common questions I get asked, as a full time Suitcase Entrepreneur, is "Don't you ever get lonely Natalie?" And the answer to that is, yes I do. Not as often as you might think mind you, but entrepreneurial loneliness is a common thing, even for people who aren't living out of a suitcase. One of the cures for this is having an online community of friends and contacts you can reach out to 24/7. I get so much joy and engagement with my tribe, my blog community and online groups and forums. In fact sometimes I've left interactions with `real' people to go and hang out with my online community because frankly they're more interesting! Yet if I'm honest, sometimes all that online contact still leaves you feeling devoid of human touch and interaction. There's nothing better in the world than hanging out with a bunch of like-minded friends and fellow entrepreneurs in person - for reals... That's where I think the power of co-working comes into play. Its the topic of today's video, where I bring in a special guest Chris Ducker. Entrepreneurial Co-Working Is The Cure Like me, Chris is into virtual freedom, so he and I are like BFFs now, especially since we hung out in Cebu, Philippines at his new co-working space, Location63. He set this space up to for many reasons (which we discuss in this short video), including to cure entrepreneurial loneliness. What Exactly Is Co-Working? If you've not heard of co-working before...well I'd seriously have to ask `What planet have you been living on?!' But I guess for those of you who have offices of your own or work from home, the idea of mingling with others in set space designed for `drop-ins', frequent travelers, or occasional desk-goers, may seems strange to you. So here's the official Wikipedia definition that I think sums it up pretty damn well. The Definition of Co-Working Coworking is a style of work that involves a shared working environment, often an office, and independent activity. Unlike in a typical office environment, those coworking are usually not employed by the same organization. Typically it is attractive to work-at-home professionals, independent contractors, or people who travel frequently who end up working in relative isolation. Coworking is also the social gathering of a group of people who are still working independently, but who share values, and who are interested in the synergy that can happen from working with like-minded talented people in the same space. It's that last sentence that really nails it on the head for me. As much as I love working from cafes and planes, and airports, there's something about being in a stimulating co-working environment, surrounded by other entrepreneurs working on growing their own businesses, that really fires you up. You have the opportunity to speak to others about what's going on in that creative head of yours, that `normal everyday' people just wouldn't understand if you blurted it out. You get to have conversations over an abundance of, often free, coffee and strike up friendships and collaborations with people that you had never envisioned. Networking opportunities abound that actually turn into real business initiatives. Plus you just feel like you belong - and that's a basic intrinsic need all humans have. How Do You Start Co-working? Google is your best friend here, seriously. Just Google `Co-working spaces in XXXXX' city that you're in. Also in this video I mention a couple of key ways I hit the ground running when I move to a new location: Meetup.com is a great place to find a ready-made community of like-minded entrepreneurs. Just search on keywords and groups in your location to find all the movers and shakers and attend the regular events they hold. Startupstay.com is a great tool for reaching out to people before or during your stay in a city and it's just for legitimate entrepreneurs. You can request to meet them for coffee or even have them host you. Plus quite often coworking owners are lurking on there to offer you a free day pass at their location. Co-working spaces usually offer a daily rate, a weekly and monthly rate, plus long-term deals. You can often rent a desk or just use the space and meeting rooms they offer. As an added bonus, many of them will offer services like printing, faxing and holding snail mail for you - basically acting as your own office. In the comments below, tell me whether you've ever tried co-working before, and if you have, one benefit or disadvantage you found from it Thanks for watching! How to Pack Like an Expert and Live Out of a Suitcase
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/blogchallenge/blog-challenge-day26/ ‎ I'm pretty excited about today's challenge because it's something I have a lot of experience in. So I went all out with this video to share my knowledge on what it takes to live out of a suitcase. It's also a question I've been wanting to answer for quite some time, so I'm glad that Rodney, a long-time reader of my blog, asked me to provide some advice on living out a suitcase, what to pack and what type of suitcase is best. But ultimately what we're talking about here is the art of minimalism and recognizing what your essential items are, and what you really don't need on your travels. In my experience, there have been more than a few times where I've short changed myself on time and had to pack in a rush to get to the airport to catch my flight. What's helpful is that I don't have a ton of stuff to pack up when I leave a place because I've gotten so used to living out of a suitcase, and I have some systems that I follow to make it much easier to organize myself life. I have loads of tips I've learned over the years, and we'll discuss a bulk of them in this video. In chapter 12 of my book, I dive deeper into not only what to pack, but the benefits of minimalism, what happens after you arrive at a destination and the best ways to acclimate to your new environment. Here's what you'll learn in this video: What the most reliable type of suitcase is and how it's saved me money Which clothing items are absolutely essential and; Which items you can buy while you travel What you can use to make sure your toiletries don't leak on all of your things And I may even make you laugh at 5 mins 41 sec.... Can't see the video player? Watch it on Youtube. Make sure you SUBSCRIBE to my Youtube channel for all of latest videos with travel and business tips! Natalie's other tips for packing: Make sure that you can throw all of your clothing items together in the washing machine without any drama. Linen and rayon are not your travel friends. Wool (and knit fabrics in general) and synthetics work great. Some items that are smart to take along with you are sunscreen, medical supplies, electronics, and quality shoes. How to Choose Where to Travel
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/entrepreneurs/how-to-choose-where-to-travel/ Where should you travel to if you want to live a great lifestyle and run your business with ease? You have the whole world (well most of it since we're steering clear of war zones here) at your fingertips, and you can choose from 193 countries to visit for days, weeks or live in for a few months or even years. There's so much choice, sometimes I think it would be easier if you were limited to just one continent! At this point in my life I've traveled to 66 countries and lived and run my business from at least 35 of them over the past 3.5 years. So I'd like to think I've learned a thing or two about which places I absolutely love to return to, countries that were easy to live in and run my business from, and then those places I'd rather not spend too long in or avoid altogether - always gotta have Wi-Fi in mind, right? On that note if you need to figure out how to find Wi-Fi when you travel watch this this video I produced on how to do that. What I've found after all these years living out of my suitcase, is that I enjoy a country the most when I actually have time to develop some roots there, meet interesting people and settle in as a token local - both personally and as an entrepreneur. Plus, I really love having the time to get over my jetlag and enjoy wherever I'm staying, like when I rented an apartment in Germany for two months, or like now as I spend time with my family back in New Zealand for 7 weeks. So what's best for you? Watch this video to find out how to choose! In this video, you'll learn: Nine key questions you need to ask yourself before you choose a destination that can make or break your trip. How long I recommend staying in one location Which countries are better to travel to on a budget

How to Be a Location Independent Entrepreneur in Your City
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/lifestyle-business-videos/how-to-be-a-location-independent-entrepreneur-in-your-own-city/ More than anything, being a suitcase entrepreneur is not about the travel, it's about you choosing where and how you want work. For me, I love the adventure of constantly traveling, but to be real, having no fixed place to live and work isn't always as sexy as it seems. Understandably lots of people want to use their location independence by just being able to work from home on their own time. But as you've probably experienced, this can get old pretty quickly as you start to feel like you don't get outside often enough or interact with humans who aren't just online. Tia Lloyd, a member of our community, asked a great question about how she could leave her home office to be more nomadic in her own city. So how can you rediscover where you live while running your business and still be productive and structured? In this video, you'll learn: How leaving your home office can actually help you create a better routine Where you can go for quiet space in your city apart from your home office Three apps and sites to find cosy cafes and new working spaces How to add more human interaction and networking into your work day

How to tell if you are addicted to travel
http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/lifestyle-show/how-to-tell-if-you-are-addicted-to-travel Think of your most memorable travel adventure. The sights you saw, the cool people that you met, and the amazing food that you got to try. I can guarantee that these will make your top 5 'awesome things I've experienced list' every time. In fact, if you've travelled regularly, you'll know how addictive it can really get. But where do you draw the line between travel for pleasure and never-ending travel adventures? As a digital nomad, who is constantly flitting about the world and with no home base, people are always intrigued as to how I live this kind of lifestyle. I get asked the following two questions the most: 1.) Do you think you'll ever stop traveling? 2.) Do you think that you're addicted to travel? (Those and how can you possibly fit everything you own into a suitcase?) But in today's video, I share how traveling nonstop has affected my business and my life, and the type of traveling that I'm tending towards. Oh, and at the end, you get to see what happens when I need to run my biz and there's no wifi around.... My 1 tip for figuring out if the suitcase lifestyle is for you: Really evaluate your personality and honestly ask yourself, how much travel do I want to do and what type of travel suits me most? It seems simple, but many people overlook asking themselves these questions before they set out on their travels, and then realise they're not cut out for a life on the road. You need to choose the type of travel that fits in with your preferences and tolerances for risk, culture, language, food, climate and other important factors. I cover this in detail in my Suitcase Entrepreneur book (due out this August) and will be sharing more tips on the blog and in my video series.
